Spencer Academy founded in 1874 by James Scott Spencer,
located on Essife Island 220 miles north from Maine. Before becoming a elite boarding school, the building was used a morgue from 1875 - 1895 when James Scott mysteriously drowned. It was then sold to the Barker family in 1897, two years later the family was disapeared without a trace. Spencer was unoccupied untill the fall of 1910 when Garrett Holmes turned it into Spencer Academy for boys.
For 7 years only boys were allowed to attend, but on September 15th girls came to study.
In 1920 Mr. Holmes died in home on the island. In his will he left the academy to his son-in-law Patrick Belle. Who kept the school untill his death in 1930. Spencer was kept in the Belle family and is currently owned by Cassie Belle and her husband Philip.
